Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, it's 2012 and President Obama has been in office for
four years. There seems to be a question or concern about our current President
that just refuses to fade away. Is President Obama a Muslim? Although it's not
the only conspiracy question about the President that won't fade, it is the
one that I will discuss within this article. This article will explore some of the
elements that keeps fueling this particular question. We will take a look at how
this question surfaced in the first place, who continues to fuel this question,
and finally, why they continue to fuel this question. So without any further adieu,
let's dive right in.
In 2008 America was introduced to a Senator from Illinois by the name of Barack
Hussein Obama. He was a senator with a big dream of change for America, as he aspired
to become President of our nation. I believe that when Americans took note of the
name of this Senator, some started to wonder if he was a Muslim? As William Shakespeare
once asked, "what's in a name?" Lets take a closer look to see if
you can really determine a man's religion by his name? President Obama's
first name as we all know is Barack. Did you know that President Obama's first
name actually appears in the Holy Bible? Well allow me to "take you to church"
for just a moment. Get your bibles out and turn with me to the book of Judges Chapter
4 and verses 6-24. If you feel so inclined, you can continue reading into chapter
5. As you can see there was a man by the name of Barak who was actually a man of
God. I know some may be saying that President Obama's first name has the letter
"c" in it and the man's name in the Bible doesn't. Well I would
like to assure you that "Barack" and "Barak" are pronounced
exactly the same. So now that we've been taken to church, let me get to the
point that I'm making about President Obama's name. If the standard for
determining a man's religion is in his name, then I think that the claim that
President Obama is a man of God is a really strong argument. We all know that this
is not the standard, so my only advice is; lets just move on folks.
Who keeps fueling this question of whether or not President Obama is a Muslim?
I think that it's mostly fueled by right wing extremist. These are the folks
who, no matter what anyone says to them, are still going to believe what they want
to believe. They don't care how baseless the information is, they just want
to have something that they believe will embarrass or discredit this president.
In short what I'm trying to say is that they won't let the facts get in
the way of what they want to believe. I really don't like to be critical of
another person simply because they have a different view than I do, but I think
that they should at least try base their views on actual facts and not just some
Why do some seem to want to keep this question of doubt going?
I don't know If anyone has noticed, but President Obama is really tough to beat
in an election. In order to win against this president, you are almost forced to
make stuff up in order to scare voters so much that they will vote for you. Yes,
fear mongering is a political tactic that Republicans aren't afraid or ashamed
to use. It's really a shame when you know that your ideas are so widely unpopular
with the American public that you have to use fear tactics in order to get votes.
This is a tactic of desperation in my opinion, and I think that in the end Americans
will see it for what it really is. I say this because they have failed to take into
account that not all Americans believe that all people of the Muslim faith are to
be treated as a threat to society. Americans are smart enough to know that there
are certain groups of Muslims around the world that have made it bad for all people
of the Muslim faith. There are other scare tactics that are sadly being used against
President Obama, I won't discuss them in this article, because I may want to
discuss them in more detail in a future article.
Is President Obama a Muslim?
I say No. Most people who want to keep bringing up this claim can provide the public
with little to no evidence to support their claim. I also believe that there is
a very good reason why little to no evidence is being provided, and that reason
is because it is a sad and baseless claim.
